Jim Maisano is the host of College Hoops Chat. He’s loved sports for his entire life, especially college basketball. While Jim had a busy career as an attorney (since 1993) and county legislator (1998 to 2018), he still tried to watch every game possible! Jim currently services as the Westchester County Consumer Protection Director and also served 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Jim has been doing WVOX (1460 AM) radio shows since 1996, originally focusing on his legislative/government work. Since 1998, he also hosts a WVOX show called the “Westchester Consumer Report” (every Tuesday from 11 to Noon). Jim has always wanted to do a sport radio talk show and is very excited to be hosting the College Hoops Chat show since October 2020!
Jim roots for several college basketball teams: Iona and St. John’s since teenage years, St. Bonaventure (attended), and Buffalo (UB Law Alum), plus he owns a house in North Carolina and adopted the UNC Tar Heels too!
