Jim Maisano has loved sports for his entire life, especially college basketball. While he spent most of career as an attorney (since 1993) and county legislator (1998 to 2018), he still tried to watch every game possible. Jim currently services as the Westchester County Consumer Protection Director. He also served 4 years in the US Marine Corps (Sergeant). Jim has been doing WVOX radio shows since 1996, all focusing on his legislative work and governmental issues, and since 1998 hosts a show called the Westchester Consumer Report (each Tuesday from 11 to Noon). However, he always wanted to do a sport radio talk show and is very excited to start the College Hoops Chat show on October 19, 2020. Jim regularly roots for 8 college basketball teams: Iona and St. John’s since teenage years, St. Bonaventure (briefly attended), Buffalo (his law school), and South Carolina (Jim’s son Mikey is a Gamecock), plus Jim owns a house in North Carolina, so he supports North Carolina, NC State and UNC Wilmington (where the house is located). Jim hopes you will listen to and call the WVOX radio show each Monday night from 8 to 9pm and check out this website. It will always be fun and informative.
